BASA MOTORS LTD – Returns & Refund Policy
BASA MOTORS LTD complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and all applicable consumer protection legislation.
Your Legal Rights
Within 30 Days of Purchase
If the vehicle is found to have a fault that was present at the time of sale, is not as described, or is not of satisfactory quality, the customer may have the right to reject the vehicle and request a refund, subject to the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Before accepting a rejection, BASA MOTORS LTD reserves the right to inspect the vehicle and assess the reported fault.
After 30 Days
Where a fault develops after the initial 30-day period, BASA MOTORS LTD may be entitled to repair or replace the vehicle before any refund is considered, in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Within the First 6 Months
Where a fault is identified within the first six months after purchase, applicable legal provisions may apply regarding whether the fault was present at the time of sale. Each case will be assessed individually based on the circumstances, vehicle condition, mileage, maintenance history, and evidence available.
Vehicle Usage & Refund Adjustments
Where a refund is legally due and permitted, BASA MOTORS LTD reserves the right to make a reasonable deduction to reflect the customer's use and any reduction in the vehicle's value after purchase.
This may include:
- Mileage added after the vehicle was supplied
- Damage, deterioration, or excessive wear caused after collection
- Missing items supplied with the vehicle
- Costs incurred due to unreasonable use or neglect
Where applicable, mileage deductions may be calculated using a rate of:
£0.80 per mile for mileage covered after the recorded mileage at the point of sale.
Example:
Vehicle mileage at purchase: 80,000 miles
Mileage at return: 80,500 miles
Mileage used: 500 miles
Potential mileage deduction: 500 miles × £0.80 = £400
The final deduction will be determined based on the individual circumstances of the vehicle, the nature of the issue, and applicable consumer legislation.
Administration & Processing Costs
Where permitted by law, BASA MOTORS LTD reserves the right to recover reasonable administration and processing costs associated with handling a vehicle return, inspection, collection, preparation, and documentation.
Any administration fee applied will be clearly explained and must represent a reasonable cost incurred by BASA MOTORS LTD.

- Customers must notify BASA MOTORS LTD as soon as a fault becomes apparent
- Customers must not authorise repairs or modifications without prior written approval
